Waynetown - Mrs. Zelma Ellis, 93, Rt 1, Hillsboro died Wednesday at her home. She was born April 13, 1888 in her present house and lived there all her life. She was the daughter of Thomas B and Georgia Cooper Newkirk. She married Dr. Ross Ellis July 14, 1913 and he survives. She was a member of the Waynetown Christian CHurch. Other survivors are a son, Ernest Ellis, Rt 1, HIllsboro, a daughter, Mrs. George (Eileen) Simmons of Lake Holiday, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with Rev. Jack Swank officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. - kbz

Mrs. Zelma L. Ellis of RR 1, Hillsboro, age 93, died Wednesday morning, July 1, at her home. She was born in the family home, April 15, 1888, and lived there all her life. She was the daughter of Thomas B. and Georgia Cooper Newkirk. July 14, 1913, she married Dr. Ross Ellis, who survives.

  Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Eileen Simmonds of Lake Holiday, south of Crawfordsville; a son, Ernest of Hillsboro; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Saturday morning at Thomas Funeral Home in Waynetown with Rev. Jack Swank officiating. Burial was in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. – thanks to S
